Hello and welcome

Your concern is appreciated

All the oral hypoglycemics have different mechanism of action , some of which induce already present beta cells to produce more insulin, with time patient can lose all the beta cells and meds no longer work as there are no cells to act upon thats when insulin is started.

Hope it helps
Thanks
