I appreciate your concern

It depends upon the individual presentation of the patient. In a patient with poor response to oral anti diabetic medication, insulin would be the best choice. Similarly in Type 1 Diabetes , insulin would be the only choice. Metformin, sitagliptin, sulfonylureas and pioglitazone are the drugs that i usually use in my practice with good effect and proven benefit.
