I take medroxyprogesterone 5 days a month to start my period, if I suspect I may be pregnant should I still take my pills at the normal time or wait until I would normally start my period and take a test?

Hello and welcome to e health forum.

Medroxyprogesterone tablets, produce withdrawal bleeding, and do not offer any form of contraceptive benefit. They should be taken only when pregnancy is ruled out.

In case, you suspect pregnancy, you should not take the tablets. You should wait to have your periods normally in such case.

You can do a urine pregnancy test, if you do not get your periods at the expected dates.
