Lymphoma Bloodwork

Hello. I went to an oncologist last Thursday and they took bloodwork to test for Lymphoma. They said I’d hear back sometime within the next week. It’s now Wednesday and I haven’t heard back. Do I call or wait until Friday? I don’t know what all the bloodwork initials and how long it usually takes to test for things.

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and I understand your concern.
Initial blood tests are peripheral smear, lactate dehydrogenase level, serum albumin and erythrocyte sedimentation rate.Usually these tests take hours.
I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
Take care
