Lump under armpit and pain under breast

User Profile
Good day. 2 weeks I felt a lump in my right breast under my armpit - it is not sore when I push it however since last week monday I have had extreme pain under my breast and on the right side of it. It feels like the area around the breast is bruised and is very sore when you touch it. When i cough, blow my nose and even breath it is very painful. I battle to lay down at night and even more around. Is this something I need to have checked out and do you think the lump and pain is associated? Thank you in advance for your advise

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum.
Stop putting ‘deep heat’ for the breast pain. You can take OTC pain relievers instead. You are most likely having the pain due to the presence of lump/fibroadenoma in breast. Do not ignore it. Get it examined ASAP by your gynecologist to ascertain the exact cause for it and treat it adequately. If there is history of breast cancer in family, getting a screening mammogram done would be wise.
Take care.
