Lump on neck below ear and jaw what is it?

Hello, hi I am 33 years old. I am in good health and very active. I don't smoke and rarely drink and if I do I do in moderation. I just discovered a lump right below my left jaw, where my jaw connects and directly below my ear on that tenit if that's what it's called? How ever it doesn't hurt and isn't really getting bigger? Any idea what it could be and advice on what to do?

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and I understand your query

It can be a number of things like a lymph node, lipoma or an abscess. If it doesn't go away in a couple of weeks better get it checked. Physician would like to know whether it’s increasing in size or not, tender or not, solid or soft, moving or not etc.
I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
Take care
