lump on my jawline, referring me to the maxi facial unit

I have a lump on my jawline, this hasn't moved but grown over the last few month, i have also experienced lately a very dry throat almost to the point of choking, very thirsty.
I went to the dentist nothing wrong, i went to the doctor as it's now after all this time starting to get annoying, not sore but i feel it. Doc has ordered bloods and is referring me to the maxi facial unit, he feels it too but has no idea. In anyone's experience is this likely to be something concerning, or at the worse jawbone cancer. I have surprisingly gained weight but not increased my eating, walk a lot etc, and still gaining weight.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and i understand your concern. This lump needs to be examined and localised and then biopsied if needed be. It could be a bone tumor or a swollen lymph node. A complete clinical correlation will clear things up.

I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
