Lump for 23 years.... in the muscle behind the ear

Hi All

Im new to this forum.

I have a lump in the side of my neck for 23 years! Ive had it since I was little and the doctor didnt do anything about it then.

Its in the muscle behind the ear about half way down my neck, left side and its not small. Recently its tender due to one tonsil being inflamed and playing up after the flu.

Has anyone experienced anything like this?

xx

Thank you for asking

its a common thing on lymph node inflammation secondary to throat infections. Take some symptomatic treatment and get assessed for the lump. I am sure 23 years harmless existence wont do any more harm but if it bothers you , you may get it excised.

Take care
