Hi, and thanks for your medical question on eHealth forum!

If your periods came around 1-6th of April and you did not have an intercourse until 23-25th April then the possibility of your getting pregnant are less. Sperms cannot travel into vagina from shared towels. The last 14 days of the cycle are fixed. That is after ovulation, if a woman does not conceive, she bleeds after 14 days. Hence count back 14 days from your next due date to know when you ovulated.

If you have a 30 day cycle and you started your periods on 1st of April, then the next period is expected around 30th of April or 1st of May. In this case you would have ovulated around 16th of April. 3-4 days before to 3-4 days after are the most fertile period and abundant precaution should be taken during this time.

If you are in a regular relationship then it would be wise to start some method of contraception after consulting a gynecologist. Keep an eye on your ovulation dates and avoid sex during this time if you do not follow any contraception. Hope this helps. Take care!
