lower abdominal pain in women in their late 50's

I had a partial hysterectomy in 1995. I've still got my ovaries & do fine with the onset of menopause. I have started experiencing lower mid abdominal pain daily. I don't have any bowel issues. I have not had a 'pelvic' exam in over 5 yrs. (Due to the fact I've felt great). Sometimes the pain is so bad I have to lay down - at this point, I will take 600mg of motrin. Eventually the pain subsides. HELP? Question
