I'm 21 and my husband (0f almost 3 years) and I rarely see eye to eye on this particular topic. I have pain when we have sex but he can't seem to grasp that this is an issue. I have a numbing gel to use but then it's just that, numb. I take birth control pills and a bladder control medication. Is there any way to boost my sex drive so I can save my marriage?

Welcome to ehealthforum

Pain during intercourse can be due to various reasons as tight pelvic floor muscles, endometriosis, cystitis(bladder infection)etc. It requires a careful evaluation to rule out the exact cause of pain. You should confide to your partner and explain him that there are various reasons which can cause pain and since he is your husband it is his reponsibility to make sure that you are comfortable in the bed.
You need to get a Pelvic examination and investigation as USG scan(if required)to find it out.Talk to him and consider visiting a Gynaecologist for evaluation.

Take Care!
