loud noises increase after i have tea or coffee with milk?

User Profile

I've been having this regular, sometimes loud noises in my belly throughout the day. There is no pain but the noises increase right after i have tea or coffee with milk. Also, I won't say diarrhea but I'm going to the toilet more frequently too, 3-4 times a day and sometimes right after a meal. The stool looks normal.

I never had this problem earlier and this started 5-6 months back. Please help. Thanks.

Hello and welcome to e health forum. ‎

Your history and the symptoms mentioned indicate that you may be having Irritable bowel syndrome.‎

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a chronic functional disorder characterized by cramping abdominal ‎pain or discomfort with alterations in ‎‎‎‎‎‎‎bowel habits (bloating, constipation, and diarrhea).‎

IBS does not cause ‎any permanent damage or ‎‎any serious illness but the symptoms cause severe discomfort & distress ‎affecting an ‎‎‎‎‎individuals work, ability to travel and attend social ‎‎events. ‎

Heartburn can be due to gastric reflux, occuring due to excess acid secretion in the stomach. treatment with antacids like mylanta or ‎gelusil should help relieve the symptoms.‎

Most symptoms of IBS can be controlled with diet, stress management, and prescribed medications ‎‎(laxatives, antidiarrheals, ‎‎‎‎‎‎‎antispasmodics, or antidepressants). ‎

Medications like activated charcoal (Charcocaps, charcoal tablets) can help to reduce the symptoms of bloating, belching, etc as they ‎‎‎‎absorb the excess gases produced in the intestine.‎

You might consult with your doctor or your gastroenterologist for a proper examination and treatment.‎

I hope this helps
