Recently I've become to feel a lot more depressed than normal. My feelings of hopelessness are massive. I live with my bipolar, adult daughter and a year ago she lost her job. The financial burden became too much and we lost our house in June. Since that day, we've been sleeping on a friend's floor and I fear I'm outstaying our welcome. It's difficult to find a place with that eviction, so there's that. A few days ago the stress of being homeless sent my daughter to the crisis center in search of someone to talk to. That turned I to them shipping her up north to a facility a couple of hours away. I have not talked to her since Saturday. I call but can't get anyone, kinda like they blocked her family from reaching her. I am employed and have not missed dye to this, but with everything going on... I can't seem to focus. I cry all the time, I talk to no one, I have no support network. I just need someone to open up to. I need a home. I'm 53 yrs old and have always been a fighter, but now? I don't want to fight, I'm tired...

You seem to be really going through it. Try to look at the bright side, at least your daughter is trying to get the help that she needs all while having a roof over her head. I honestly wish you all the best.

Hello and welcome to EHF !

I went through your query and i understand your concern. With bipolar daughter and job insecurity and house issues, three problems major stressors altogether definitely affect mental health. You need help of a therapist and a psychiatrist to help you move on.

Take care
