Lightheaded and short of breath playing Sport

Hi everyone. I seem to get very lightheaded and short of breath when playing soccer during the afternoon.
I often play in the evening and I'm absolutely fine - can run about all night with no problems (I have no known health problems and am fairly fit)

For some reason, just when playing in the afternoon I get short of breath and lightheaded really quickly. Could it be preparation? I always make sure I've had a good nights sleep and that I've had some food for energy.

Any advice greatly appreciate. Thanks, Dan
