Light period on Nuvaring ?

User Profile
my girlfriend had a very very light period that lasted about 1 day or less. She is on nuvaring and uses it perfect. I wear a condom and I pull out just to be safe, and check the condom afterwards to make sure it hasn\\\'t broke. We had intercourse maybe twice in the last month. Is this normal? She usually has a normal size withdrawal period. She did just move back from school and I had to move 1100 miles away for the summer. She\\\'s been on nuvaring for about 1.5 this normal...I\\\'ve read other posts and heard low doses of hormones can cause light or missed this normal? Thanks

Thanks for joining me on ehealthforum.

If she has been very regular on the Nuvaring, then you do not have to worry, since you also follow back up method of contraception.
Sometimes women tend to get less bleeding while being on contraceptive use. This happens due to changes in hormonal levels.
If she develops any other symptoms associated with the abnormal bleeding pattern, she should report to her healthcare provider/gynecologist and get a thorough examination done.

All the best.
