Hi i had a period at the end of february and that was normal but then i slept with a guy around the 20th of march and a few days later had a small ammount of bleeding normally i can go threw about 7 towels a day but this didnt even cover one towel and i was on for two days only, were normally im on about 5-7. i put it down just to be very light and in april i never came on my period. i did about 5 pregnancy tests all of the same make and they all came back negetive. im not stressed or anything, my life is pretty much normal, im exercising the same, im eating the same everythings the same and i wondered do you know what this could be, i dont like going the doctors as i feel im wasting there time but do you think i should go back? and could it be serious? ive never missed a period, ive never had a light period either, since i started my periods at 12 i've been like clock work and dont understand whats happening

. Hi, welcome to the ehealth forum and I am glad to help you.
You seem concerned by the missed period but a negative pregnancy test on 5 occasions.
With the information that you have provided, I feel that there can be three other reasons for missed and light periods besides pregnancy viz. stress, PCOD and oral contraceptive pills. As the pregnancy has been ruled out and you also deny any stress the only thing left is PCOD and pills. Birth control pills are known to cause light and even missed periods. If you are not taking pills as well then you must visit your gynecologist for the possibility of PCOD with hormonal assays for LH and FSH etc. along with ultrasound pelvis. You might need a withdrawal to resume the normal cycle.
