Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
Brown vaginal discharge could be suggestive of possibility of infection, hormonal changes, endometritis, PCOS, anemia, ovarian cysts, etc. If you have not been sexually active, chances of pregnancy can be ruled out. Use of nutritional supplements and multivitamins usually do not affect your period pattern. Consider requesting your doctor/gynecologist for a vaginal swab/smear test done to confirm/rule out infective causes. Hormonal analysis done would rule out chances of any imbalances. Ultrasound scan done will help to rule out other problems like PID, endometrial problems, PCOS, ovarian cysts etc. Get started on treatment as indicated by examination findings and investigation results. Avoid vaginal douching, use of harsh soap or perfumes in the area. Use loose cotton undergarments and avoid use of tight fitting clothes. Be in regular monitoring and follow-up with your treating doctor/gynecologist and report any new/abnormal symptoms immediately. Drink plenty of water. Take adequate rest. Maintain healthy diet and lifestyle.
Take care.
