Lack of motivation and no energy

User Profile

I suffered from depression last year, and today all of a sudden I started feeling lack of motivation, no energy. It feels similar to when I was depressed. I had wondered last year if I could possibly suffer from bipolar as I do have extreme highs and lows.

I dont understand how I could start to feel like this again. I thought of what could of triggered it, but everything in my life is ok.

I am lost, as what to do next.

I do have Pre-Ovarian Failure. And also a migraine sufferer.

Depression Answer A8373

You may just be correct about bipolar disorder. I would suggest you to visit a psychiatrist and get yourself evaluated as per the procedures. This will help you figure out if your symptoms are suggestive of Bipolar Disorder or not.

You may also keep in mind that Bipolar Disorder has a genetic component to it. Quite often, the symptoms may appear without any obvious triggers or stressors.

In addition to this, your hormones may be playing a certain role in the mood swings. Migraine is considered a psychosomatic illness. It means you seem to have some ambitions and dreams in life which may not have been realized yet. This is a well researched theory for Migraine and you should strongly consider taking help of a mental health professional to find out what it is that you are missing.

I hope this information helps.
