Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum.
Emergency contraceptives work in preventing pregnancy when taken within 48-72 hours of the unprotected intercourse. The bleeding that you had after taking the emergency contraceptives could be the withdrawal bleeding that usually occurs after 5-7 days of taking it. Do not worry about it. If it persists or becomes heavy with cramps and pain, then do not delay your visit to your gynecologist for further evaluation.
Take care.
