ive been on my period for a month, should i be worried?

I got off birth control in june. It took me a couple months until i started again. the first one lasted about two weeks, i was only off of it for about three days until i started again. So ive been on it for about a month now and im worried that this could be a problem. ive been extremely tired and light headed, im thinking that my unusually long cycle has something to do with this? is this normal or should i be worried?

Nia, "Ive been extremely tired and light headed" You need to take an iron supplement. When you bleed, you lose iron. Iron is responsible for carrying oxygen in your blood. The symptoms you are describing are typical of an iron loss. Be careful though and do not overdose on iron.

You need to talk to your doctor to change to a different formulation birth control pill. Breakthrough bleeding for this long is not normal.

Best of luck.

I bought some iron pills today, hopefully that will work! I hate going into the dr, so thank you for your help:)

unstoppable period
Ive been on my period for a little over two months now. I started taking iron pills two weeks ago hoping they would work. I have a huge loss of energy like anything less then ten hrs of sleep leaves me feeling down all day, today i had to call in sick for work because the thought of getting through another day with this bleeding and cramps left me feeling unable to function. I want to go to the er but my fam feels like its not an emergency and to wait to see the doc on monday... after reading other posts and the tests they do for anemia and such I feel their right but damn this sh*t is depressing. I wish someone knew at home remedies to stop this insufferable bleeding!

heeearit, take an iron supplement (but do not overdose on iron). With the continuous bleeding you are losing iron and the blood's ability to carry oxygen. This is causing your lack of energy, tiredness and sleep.

Take care
