Is it my birth control or am I crazy?

Okay so I have pretty bad anxiety paired with OCD and I'm always scared that I'm pregnant.

Even though I got my period (Dec. 18-23, it is now the 30th), I feel pregnant. My stomach is so swollen, beginning about 3 days ago and I'm extremely nauseous all the time. The last time I had sex was Dec. 10 but we used a condom... I'm freaking out because my stomach has never felt this full and uncomfortable before.

I just finished my 1st week of pack 2 of my new birth control... could I be pregnant or could it be the birth control that's making me swell?

It is very likely just the birth control hormones causing this bloated feeling.

The failure rate of condoms combined with birth control pills are as close to zero as you can get. How do we know this? In some European countries this is what teens are encouraged to use and the unintended pregnancy rate in those groups is zero.

I had only been on my birth control for 2 1/2 weeks when we had sex. Does that make a difference?

No, that makes no difference. If you started your pills at the beginning of your last period, you were protected pretty quickly. If you started it on another day, you were protected after 7 days. So after 2 1/2 weeks, you were fully protected by te pills.
