Hi there, I was bitten/stung by an insect while on vacation in Italy today and it’s left a short raised white line about a cm long on my ankle, surrounded by red soreness. It is painful to the touch, any idea what to do?

Welcome to e health forum.

The lesion needs to be examined and proper first aid , antibiotics and antihistamines need to be given to prevent or treat any allergic reactions or infections.

Hence it would be recommended to consult a doctor who can examine you and do the needful.

I hope this helps.
