I had a miscarriage My first miscarriage sept. 16th 2010 after two perfectly vaginal births , and the five days i have had brown discharge and it smell likes somthing died on my pads or when I wipe, , no cramps, no pain a, itching, nothing just smelly. my last visit was sept.22 my dr said he did a vag. ultrasound and nothing was left but blood I should be fine. Could I possibly be getting an infection or is this noraml

Foul smelling vaginal discharge is seen in bacterial vaginosis, candidia infection, or STDs like trichomoniasis etc. It can also be due to inflammation of the cervix or cervicitis. Foreign body in vagina like lodged condom, forgotten tampon can also be the cause (unlikely in your case).

You will need to consult a gynecologist to get the vaginal discharge tested. It is difficult to find the cause on net. Correct treatment will follow correct diagnosis. Take care!
