If her work-up strongly suggests brain metastasis, then biopsy of the brain lesion (if it can be safely performed), and either surgical removal of the metastatic tumor or/and radiation therapy can be considered in patients who are having severe or uncontrollable symptoms from their metastatic brains tumors.
