Impact (if any) of blocked carotid artery on ability to run

Last week my left carotid artery, which was blocked 90%, was cleaned. Will that operation improve by ability to run.

I'm a 70 year old that has been running over 30 years. For the last 5 years my times have slowed at a much higher rates then in the past.

I have high BP, high cholesterol, a history of light headedness (that was attributed to my BP medicine - but now that is not a problem),

Since I posted this item I met with my Doctor and was told a blocked carotid artery may cause fatigue.
