Hello,

Welcome to ehealthforum and thanks for writing

Cold and cough could be indicative of either allergy symptoms or decreased immunity. You can take some antiallergic medications as Levocetrizine,Allegra for symptomatic relief.Avoid exposure to dust and cover your mouth.Take some multivitamin tablet once a day for a month.Avoid contact to any infected person.Have more of nuts as cashewnuts, walnuts, peanuts.Increase Vitamin C intake as juices, oranges, lime which boost immunity.

Gargle your throat 3 times a day with warm (not hot) salt water, you can also get yourself betadine gargle.

You can consider taking anticough syrup available OTC.

In case, you develop, any headache, high fever (> 102 F), purulent (yellow greenish) expectoration, you might consult a Physician who can examine and rule out any bacterial infections and treat accordingly.

Take care!
