If i decided not to take the thrid week ...

I want to avoid having my period on a certain day, and I only have one more refill of my birth control left, and i'm a week into the pack i have now. If i decided not to take the thrid week of my birth control, have my period then, and then start taking the third row of pills a week later (essentially switching my last week of hormone pills for the placebo week), would that cause me any harm, ruin my cycle, or maybe cause me to get pregnant?

Welcome to ehealthforum.
The chances of pregnancy and hormonal disruption due to stopping of the active hormonal pills in mid cycle cannot be ruled out. If you want to postpone or delay your periods, visit your gynecologist and request for alternate pills for postponement of period. You can continue taking these pills for as long as you do not want the periods. You can stop taking the current pill once you start taking the pills for postponement. You can restart your normal birth control pills once you get your periods. Hope this helps.
Take care.
