Welcome to ehealthforum,
The cause for irregularity of periods could be many. Variation of 5-10 days in your menstrual cycle length is considered to be normal. If the variation is more than 10 days or if you have associated symptoms, then do not delay in visiting your gynecologist/obstetrician for further evaluation and investigations to look for the underlying cause for your irregular periods. Treatment as appropriate (based on examination and investigation results) would be started to help you control the symptoms and regulate your periods. Drink plenty of water. Take adequate rest. Maintain healthy diet and lifestyle. Be in regular follow-up and monitoring of your treating gynecologist/obstetrician and report any unusual/abnormal/new symptoms immediately.
Take care.
