Birth Control Answer A41817
Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
If she has been regular with her birth control pill intake and if this was not her first pill pack use, she should have the protection. The chances of pregnancy resulting are also less if she is not in her fertile days or close to ovulation time at the time of intercourse. Wait and watch for her periods. Look out for development of any new symptoms if pregnancy is suspected. She should visit her doctor/gynecologist for further evaluation and assistance if she has not got her periods within 10 days of expected period dates, or if she has got abnormal bleeding. If pregnancy gets ruled out and if you are not ready for pregnancy, but intend to remain sexually active, she should be regular with birth control use as instructed. Use back-up protection while having intercourse if you are not ready for pregnancy.
Take care.
