I'm 18 years old and have had my period since i was 13. I was regular but last month I got my period two weeks early which ended on the 22. I started an exercise program and have lost some weight and today nov 9 i started me period again. What could be the reason for this and do i need to be concered ? thank you

Sometimes there can be variation of +/- 5-10 days in your usual menstrual cycle length due to various causes (which is considered to be within normal limits). The changes in period pattern can be affected by lifestyle and diet changes, changes in exercise levels, increased stress levels, changes in sleep pattern, pregnancy, hormonal imbalances, anemia, etc. Observe your periods for next 2-3 cycles and report your symptoms (if abnormal) to your doctor/gynecologist. Go ahead with further evaluation to look for the underlying cause. Treatment as appropriate would be started (based on examination findings and investigation results) to help you to regulate your periods. Take adequate rest. Drink plenty of water. Maintain healthy diet and lifestyle.
