User Profile
Hi,
I an 23 yrs old and have a 2 yrs old daughter. Before having my daughter I had regular periods, but now they're about every 45 days. They bleed heavely and last for about 3 days. Im having light bleeding between my periods that last about a week. I often feel bloated, I have cramps and headache. I did a pregnancy test and it came out negative. I've been trying to conceive for the last 2 years but nothing. What's going on? My doctor passed me a ultrasound but there was nothing wrong.. Help me understand please..

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum.
Change in period pattern along with new symptoms of bloating, cramping and infertility, could suggest possibility of hormonal derangements, adenomyosis, endometriosis, uterine fibroids, cervical polyps, ovarian cysts, PID etc. The exact cause can only be made out after thorough examination, blood and hormonal work-up, PAP smear and ultrasound scan. Visit your gynecologist soon for getting a thorough evaluation done.
Take care.
