Hi,

Welcome to the ehealthforum and I am really glad to help you out. Your concern is regarding the effect of penicillin on the efficacy of birth control pills.

Moderate interactions have been reported between antibiotics like penicillin and birth control pills. It may reduce the effects of birth control pills in some women. If you are using ethinyl estradiol for birth control, you may be at increased risk for pregnancy or breakthrough bleeding.

Hence till the time you are taking penicillin as antibiotic, you should avoid having unprotected intercourse and have protected intercourse by using condoms.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
