User Profile
Hi, im 16 and i think i might have bipolar. I switch up mood swings a lot. But i've read what people have said a lot and think it's just teenagers being teenagers, but i know it's more. But i don't know what to do. I'm very stressed with everything. And sometimes i want to be all by myself and other times i just want to be around everyone. I can go from being worried and wanting to cry and being upset to laughing with my friends and being hyper happy. I don't know what to make of it all. I just need some advice, and i don't feel that comfortable with my doctor. Help me?

Bipolar Disorder Answer A22775
Hello and welcome to e health forum.

Self diagnosis of a psychological condition is very harmful to a teenager like yourself.

In your age, it is sometimes common to have such labile emotional state, but to term it a bipolar mood disorder, so that you can tell others that you have a medical disorder is not the right way to approach things.

Try to relax and get a good sleep, when you are in such situations. You might wake up refreshed and have a clear control over your issues.

Try to involve yourself into activities like gym, music or any outdoor games, etc. This might help you to achieve focus on some things.

In case, it does not still help, consult a psychiatrist or a counselor at your school for proper advice and help.
