i go with in 10 mins of waking and it's water.

Hi ive had cronic diarrhea since August before this i had sufferd with very rarely goin the toilet i use to go once every 2 weeks now i go with in 10 mins of waking up an its pure water i visited the doctor an they said i had ketones in my urine an gave me some hydration drinks i dont know what else to do ive had blood test and a ct scan as my dad died of bowel cancer at 50 yrs old

The presence of ketones in urine indicates presence of metabolic disorders including uncontrolled diabetes mellitus or glycogen storage disease or metabolic acidosis due to persistent diarrhea.

Additional history and a physical examination will help to diagnose the specific condition.

You might consider undergoing a stool examination and consult your doctor for additional evaluation and treatment.

For control of the diarrhea, you might consider OTC antidiarrheals like Imodium for a day or two.

In addition maintaining hydration with adequate intake of fluids is important.
