I feel so bad about myself

User Profile
Hello. I feel so bad about myself, I disgust myself. I always had my insecurities, but I was always the nice happy, pretty (although always a little fat haha), smart, bubbly, studious girl. Suddenly, my selfesteem started decreesing and I was diagnosed with severe depression. I had to drop out of college for a semester (currently on leave) and I am currently a binge- eater, who doesn't care about her health, doesn't leave her house out of fear of people seeing me so ugly, have suicidal thoughts every day and cut myself. My family loves me and has been very supportive but I don't seem to want to help myself because I'm so embarrased by the ugly, unstylish, unfit, stupid, loser, I have become. Everything seems so absurd but I am impressed bh my selfsabotaging and loser bdhavior. I feel so ugly and am sk miserable. I don't know how I'm going to makenit back to college mext semester i'm so !**@! disgusting

Welcome to e health forum.

You have mentioned your problems in brief, but you have not provided the cause and the trigger for the onset of your symptoms.

More information and medical history would be needed, to know how to help you deal with your situation. Since this cannot be properly achieved via a online medium, and you will need to speak in person to a caregiver or psychiatrist.

Your counselor or psychiatrist would be the right person, who can guide you how to deal with your feelings and provide prescription of medicines to help with your depression. Hence it would be recommended to consult him at the earliest.
