I feel sick most of the day,.Should I go for a blood test?

User Profile
Lately I have noticed a few white spots on both my breasts. Some of which are on the nipple area. I feel sick most of the day. I had a one day bleed on July 19th and once again on the 9th August. It was very little blood to what I am compared too. My last full on period was back on the 22nd June. Is their any chance I could be pregnant. I have taken a test but come back negative? Should I go for a blood test to see what is going on? I just want to know whats happening with my body? Many thanks.

Welcome to ehealthforum,
If you had been sexually active after your last periods (and if you are not on any form of birth control measures), then your symptoms could be suggestive of possibility of pregnancy. The urine pregnancy test (UPT) kits are calibrated ones, so unless the hormone levels in urine reach a certain level, they do not show positive results, and hence they can also show false negative results. Blood/serum HCG level estimation is accurate. UPT should always be done on early morning first urine sample as the concentration of pregnancy hormone HCG is believed to be highest in this sample. Look out for development of any other new symptoms suggestive of early pregnancy. If you suspect chances of pregnancy, consider visiting your doctor/gynecologist for further examination (to confirm pregnancy related changes/signs in body) and blood/serum HCG level test (to confirm/rule out pregnancy accurately). Take adequate rest. Drink plenty of water. Maintain healthy diet.
Take care.
