I feel like I have hair in the back of my throat

I noticed a thread from some time ago regarding the same feeling-I cannot respond to the thread.
I have hashimotos disease and GERD (hiatal hernia) and take .075 mg synthroid. Nothing has changed in diet or medically but have had th sensation of hair in the back of my throat for a few days. I cannot find relief. Gargling doesn't help. Any suggestions?

Hello and Welcome

I appreciate your concern

Its most likely related to the reflux disease. The throat should be examined and to be on the safe side, PPIs should be given initially like esomeprazole or lansoprazole. If their is no improvement in the symptoms then an upper GI endoscopy can be advised in consultation with your doctor.

Wishing you best of health

Thanks
