I have been a smoker for the past 15 years. The moment I found out I was pregnant I stopped smoking which was about 5 weeks ago. I am now 9 weeks pregnant. Whenever I cough which is not regularly, I cough up brown specs withe clear mucus. Should I worry.

Welcome to e health forum.

Its good that you have stopped smoking in your pregnant status.

The symptoms you have mentioned to not appear to be significant enough to worry.

In case, you have persistent cough, along with mucopurulent expectoration, chest discomfort or pain, breathing difficulties, wheezing, fever, headaches, etc, then it may be a cause of concern, and you may require to see your doctor for a physical examination.
