Hi, and thanks for your query on eHealth forum!

Missed periods and other body changes could be due to hormonal changes in the body. These changes result from going off the depot after three years. This is called post pill amenorrhea and happens due to suppression of the pituitary by the hormonal contraceptive. To confirm whether you are pregnant or not you need to take a blood test for HCG estimation. If this is negative then you may have your periods soon.

However, you may resume ovulation either earlier or later than your periods. Hence, you may become pregnant if you do not use an alternative contraceptive or resume your depot shots. You can miss your periods due to prolonged use of depot shots too. Since a confirmed diagnosis cannot be given on net please consult your gynecologist regarding this. Hope this helps. Take care!
