I actually really hate my boyfriend! Is this normal?!

6 independent specialists have all told me that I could never conceive naturally. So you can imagine my surprise when 5 pregnancy tests and a Doctors appointment later, I find out I'm nine weeks pregnant!

The problem now is, my mood swings are out of control! Men in particular annoy me! And for no reason! I was on a bus the other day and a guy had his ipod on too loud and I went lala at him! Poor kid!

My boyfriend is also very "on the go" he's always got to be doing something or going somewhere! Which was fine before I was pregnant, but I am soo exhausted all of the time now! He keeps calling me fat and lazy, unmotivated etc. He is also terrible with money, and I keep thinking "how the hell is this man ever going to be able to provide for me and the baby while I'm on maternity leave?"
I've gone all paranoid aswell! I mean the other day he bought diet coke instead of usual regular coke like he always does, the bed was unmade, there were two wet towels hanging on the dryer and a tshirt in the bed. Now I'm convinced he's cheating on me!! (to be fair, he did sleep with someone about 2 years ago while we were "on a break" so I guess that paranoia will always be there)
He takes the mick out of me infront of his mates, telling everyone what a psycho I've turned into.
I actually really do hate him alot of the time! what is wrong with me??? His room mate aswell- annoys me on site!
If I'm not angry, I'm all depressed and low and tearful! I cry at the most stupid of things- like movies!I feel anxious all the time!Although I'm desperately tired, I cant sleep for worrying! I do crazy things like put my handbag in the fridge without even realizing it!
Every time I try and talk to my boyfriend about this, he just doesnt listen, or even seem to care! I feel completely unsupported by him.
I know some of this is rather amusing, but it really is hell this side of things! I really don't know what to do anymore! I'm frightened, feel ridiculous, and like I've lost the plot! please help! xx

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
Many women go through terrible mood swings and pregnancy induced depression. Do not give up, as these all fall in place once you are done with childbirth. Visit your doctor/gynecologist for further help. Consider taking your partner also with you for the appointment. Many men need to have counseling done to help with understanding the needs of their pregnant partners and to help them cope with the changing situations. You can also consider going ahead with 'couple therapy done' to identify the problems and help you to resolve them. Your partner should also consider reading up on symptoms and pregnancy related complications to help with understanding your needs better and to be able to support you.
Take care.
