My mother is 65 yrs old and is suffering from hypertension. She used to take Amtas AT before. But recently her blood pressure is very high, averaging 160/100. The Doctor has prescribed three types of anti hypertensive medicines viz Stamlo 2.5 mg (Amlodipine)/Telsar 40 (Telmisartan) and Revelol XL 50 (Metoprolol succinate). But still her BP is not normalising. My question is...is it safe to take 3 kinds of medication at a time for the same ailment? Why is her BP not coming down? Please reply. Darjeeling
