hurting worse now than it did before surgery

I had surgery for carpal tunnel I had the release 5months ago and my hand is hurting worse now than it did before surgery it hurts up into my forearm. Is this normal.

I read your question and i understand your concern. No its not normal to have pain worsened after 5 months of surgery and needs to be sorted out for the cause. Please consult your surgeon and let them have a look and repeat nerve conduction studies.
