User Profile
My friend has been feeling pain in the area of the right side of his pelvis.Last night his stomach was hurting near the bellybutton then it moved to the pelvis. He said it hurts when he coughs, laughs, and walks. My stepbrother also had those same symptons and was hospitalized because he had to have his appendix taken out.My friend is having same symptoms so I think he needs to have his appendix removed.I'm not completely sure though.

Appendix and Appendicitis Answer A18455
Hi,
Welcome to the ehealthforum and I am really glad to help you out. The various possibilities which present with such pain in the lower right abdomen are appendicitis, Crohn’s disease, bowel obstruction, irritable bowel syndrome , kidney obstruction or pyelonephritis, psoas abscess and volvolus (twisting of the sigmoid part of the large bowel on itself).

Investigations like ultrasound abdomen, CT abdomen and colonoscopy are required to confirm a diagnosis. My advise is to consult a gastroenterologist and discuss these possibilities with him. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
