Huge Lesion on MRI

Hi all. Im a 44 year old male. I had been having pain to my right shoulder for abou a year. I got a cortisone shot and it helped for a while but pain came back. I got an MRI and they sent me home with the disc. So I pop it in to check things out thinking torn rotator cuff, and I see this huge white area inside of my shoulder bone shaped like a state. I havent had my follow up appt yet but Im assuming this is a huge tumor. Super scared. Anybody ever went thru this??

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and i understand your concern. your work up needs more extensive history and evaluation, it could be just rotator cuff injury. I wish you could share your MRI reports and other labs so that i would have been able to comment on the possibilities of differentials.

I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
