Hello, I tested positive for Herpes Simplex 2 (Genital Herpes) and am thinking that I am having complications. About a month before I actually got tested, I started having daily headaches. Nerve Pain in my head etc. I had a break out and was a bit sick for a few days with dizziness, dry eyes, upset stomach etc. The break out went away and I was still having daily headaches, burning sensations on my head, face and eyes. My doctor sent my to a Neurologist that had me get a MRI of my brain. The MRI was clear for suspected meningitis. The area that I had a break out was around my anus and my tailbone has been sore as well. It has now been 5 months since I was first having symptoms and 4 months since i tested positive.

I have been to many different doctors as well as the ER a few times with all of my tests coming back that I am in great health. There has to be something related to the Herpes infection with my neurological symptoms. I have always been in great health and headache free up until this all started. I mean, I walk around all day holding an icepack on my head and its getting really old.

I have been doing alot of research on Herpes and complications with it and have seen some reports of people with daily headaches associated with herpes by doing a lumbar puncture. My question is, with all of my tests so far coming back fine, is it possible that I could be having a major underlying issue with Herpes and my headaches other than the swelling of the outside tissue around the brain? Also, what further tests or doctors should I consinder to nail this issue before it gets worse ( which it seems to be)? Ask me questions if needed. Please Help!!!

I'd suggest that you try to treat the headache symptom apart from trying to link it to HPV. Doctors still don't really know what causes headaches and migraines, so I suggest that you follow up with a specialist in headaches.
