How to get rid of a ulcer on tongue?

I noticed a white painful bump on the tip of my tongue 5 days ago due to taking oral medication. It is very excruciating and hard to eat. I was wondering if there are any remedies or over the counter medication that I can take. How long is the healing process?

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and I understand your concern.
Several over the counter ointments are available that can ease your pain and help heal oral sores such as somogel.
You can use ispaghul husk or any thing that is cold in nature like yogurt.
Avoid food that can aggravate your symptoms such as spices, hot beverages and nuts

I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
Take care
