How should i count my ovulation after two cycle in a month?

User Profile
I am trying to get pregnant and have been calculating my ovulation day. I did get my cycle on 3/5 like every month and on 3/21 or 3/22 I started to get a brown discharge and day later I started my cycle again. It lasted about a good 3-4days. I never had two cycle in one month before and so I'm really concern. How should i count my ovulation when its like this? Please help!

Welcome to ehealthforum,
If your menstrual cycles are regular and of 28-30 days length, your fertile days would lie between days 8-18, taking day 1 as first day of bleeding, and the probable ovulation day would be on 14-16th day, and if you have been sexually active around ovulation time, then chances of pregnancy. If you have been trying for pregnancy, consider monitoring cervical mucus changes, cervix position, and the BBT (basal body temperature) charting to predict your ovulation (along with the follicular study if required) and time your intercourse for having fruitful results. Have intercourse in positions that allow for deeper penetration for high deposit of semen. Do not change positions immediately after ejaculation, put pillows under buttocks to minimize semen spill, and avoid getting up within 30 minutes of ejaculation. Have diet with foods rich in zinc content to ensure better maturation of egg and sperms. If you have not been successful in your pregnancy plans within 6 months to 1 year’s time of trying, you should consider getting a complete infertility work-up done for you and your partner to see if there are any underlying causes for the infertility/inability to conceive. Treatment as indicated (based on examination and investigations results) would be started to help you get pregnant. Consider visiting your gynecologist/obstetrician for further evaluation and assistance and be in regular follow-up and monitoring as instructed and report any new/abnormal symptoms immediately.
Take care.
