The date you have sex is likely not your conception date. You have a chance of conceiving up to 5 days after sex. His semen will wait in your Fallopian tubes for you to ovulate.

A good rule of thumb is that you should test 21 and 28 days after the sex.

With an early detection kit like First Response (not the digital one) you may test up to 7 days earlier. The problem however is if you get a negative test, you do not know if you were too early or you are not pregnant.

Yes, take a second test a week or more later, unless you are sure by then that you are not pregnant.
