How long does it take to regulate your period on the pill? Right now I am on my week break from the pills and I am 4days late on my period (Sunday will be my third month on this pill) and I've had irregular periods so I got on this pill so I could regulate them.. On Sunday should I take my pills normally even though I haven't gotten my period? And whenever I do get my period do I still keep taking my pills according to the instructions? I've been told by my doctor that the pill will take a month to regulate my periods and I've had unprotected sex.. Symptoms I'm having (nausea, heavy, sore tenderness breasts, more headaches than usual, bloating) Not sure if those are just symptoms of the pill or symptoms of possible pregnancy? Please answer Sad

It sounds like your period is on its way, does it not? Typical PMS symptoms.

Yes, always take your pills as prescribed. Your body must adjust, not the other way around.

It can take up to 3 or 4 months for your cycles to regulate. If you are worried it is not working, speak to your doctor about it.

While you are on the pill, you are protected from pregnancy but not STDs and infections. So if you took your pill regularly, the chances are very small that you can be pregnant.

Best of luck!
