Welcome to ehealthforum

Fertilization depends on which phase of the reproductive cycle has intercourse been performed. If it is nearing ovulation days(fertile days when egg is released)and egg has been released it can occur immediately after sperms and ova unite. In a 28 day regular cycle of a woman 10 to 16 days are considered as ovulation days.
The only way to know whether she is pregnant or not is to wait for the next periods as no test can detect right now.
Wait for the next periods and if they do not start even after a week of expected date consider visiting a Gynaecologist for evaluation.
